If you are a current member of the Society you will find information about how to log in to the members' area of the site in the December 2011 issue of the BFS journal, Flute

If you are not currently a member of the Society we hope that you will consider joining us to become part of our wide network of flute players based both in the UK and overseas. Members come from all walks of life and include amateur and professional players, teachers, students, the flute trade, and people who simply love the flute.

Members receive a range of benefits including the well-respected quarterly journal, Flute. The journal includes all the latest flute news, features , articles and reviews. We also run regular events for our members including the prestigious BFS-RAM Premier Flautist Series, our annual competitions for flute players under the age of 25 years, and the biennial BFS International Convention. BFS Eighth International Convention 2012

Convention adBooking opens 1 January 2012

The British Flute Society's Eighth International Convention will held at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, from 17-20 August 2012. Events will include:

  • world-class recitals
  • a chance to meet the top players. Be inspired and pick up performance tips
  • professional development sessions for teachers
  • flute choirs for all
  • flute competition for adult amateurs
  • flute-related health and well-being workshops
  • trade high street and demonstrations
  • or catch up with old friends and make new ones.
