Announcing our Competitions 2022
We’re delighted to announce the 2022 edition of our annual Competitions for flute players. The Competitions are a chance for players to showcase their talent, receive feedback from top adjudicators and win brilliant prizes.
The 2022 Competitions will be online, with entrants submitting a video performance. This year, there are five categories, including a new non-competitive category for performers aged 18 and under of any standard.
We are once again running a financial aid scheme for anyone otherwise unable to enter. There will also be Special Awards honouring pieces for piccolo and low flutes, by female composers, and by composers in historically underrepresented groups.
The entry deadline is February 19, with selected performances and prize-givings taking place at two Zoom Competitions Events on March 13 and March 20. Spectators are welcome to attend these - more details will be given nearer the time.
Judges and prizes will be announced later this month. We can’t wait to hear your performances, and really look forward to receiving your entries!
