4 ways to support the BFS this Giving Tuesday

Today is Giving Tuesday - a global day of giving. As a membership charity that relies on donations, we'd be grateful if you'd consider supporting us today. Here are 4 ways to do this:

1/ Donate

Currently, member subscriptions cover our essential running costs (including making our journal Pan) but all other activities have to be self-financing. Raising funds gives us the chance to support more players with more resources and activities - including live events across the country; virtual player talks; online resources; and free membership and Competitions entry for those who need it.

We are also honoured to host Atarah's Fund - a legacy set up at the instigation of Atarah Ben-Tovim MBE to support young players via our Competitions (a brainchild of hers).

Please consider donating (and if you're a UK taxpayer, click the Gift Aid box to give an extra 25p for every £1 donated!)

2/ Support us while you shop via easyfundraising

Over 7,000 brands (including Argos, M&S, eBay, Just Eat, John Lewis and Audible) will donate to us when you use easyfundraising to shop online with them.

Signup is free and takes 2 minutes - and if you raise £10 in donations, easyfundraising will give us a bonus £10!

3/ Donate your time

We're on the lookout for new trustees - Council members who meet (online) regularly and help plan and support BFS activity.

We're also looking for volunteers - we'd love to hear from you if you have any expertise in fundraising, Gift Aid, Legal, CRM, membership or as an event steward. You can register your interest via our 1-minute form!

4/ Share via socials or email

Please feel free to email this blogpost to flute-loving friends. We've also posted about Giving Tuesday on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts - please feel free to share our posts on your own socials, or write your own shoutout with the hashtag #GivingTuesday!
